Questions, answered
The things people ask before they trust a tool with a client relationship. Where the answer is no, it says no.
- Do my clients see Door Openers anywhere?
- No. The diagnostic link, the questions your client answers and the report they receive all carry your name, your consultancy and your logo. There is no platform branding, no watermark and no 'powered by' line on anything client-facing. That is the whole point of it.
- What does my client actually get at the end?
- You get two editions of every report. The client edition is written to be read by a business owner - clear, jargon-free and branded to you. The consultant edition gives you the findings and the statistics behind them, so you walk into the debrief knowing more than they do. You decide when the client edition goes out, so the report lands as part of your conversation rather than an automated email.
- Can I edit the questions?
- Not at the moment. The question banks are fixed, and they are built and worded to hold up in front of a business owner. You can see every question any client will be asked on the Question bank page in the portal before you send anything. Custom questions are a fair ask and are on the list, but today the honest answer is no.
- Are the staff pulse surveys really anonymous?
- Yes, and that is enforced by what the platform stores rather than by a promise. A pulse response saves the scores, the eNPS rating and any free-text comment. No name, no email address and no IP address is recorded against it, so neither you nor we can tell who said what. You see results only as a group.
- How long does a diagnostic take my client?
- The People Health Check is 20 questions and takes about five minutes. The Staff Turnover Calculator is shorter. The pulse surveys take a couple of minutes for each member of staff. Answers are saved as they go, so a client who gets interrupted does not lose their place.
- Do I need a card to start the trial?
- Yes. The 14-day trial gives you full access with up to three client companies, and card details are taken when you start it. Nothing is charged during the trial. When the 14 days are up the Practice plan starts automatically at £49 a month, so if it is not for you, cancel from the billing page before then and you pay nothing. We would rather say that up front than have it arrive as a surprise.
- What counts as a client, and what happens if I hit the limit?
- A client is one client company on your account, and you can run every tool as many times as you like against it - depth of use is never penalised. The Practice plan includes 15 active clients, which covers most solo practices comfortably. Beyond that, extra slots are £10 a month per five. Archiving a finished engagement frees its slot after 30 days.
- Is this not just a survey tool?
- A survey tool gives you a blank page and a chart builder. The work in this is the part that is already done: the diagnostics are written, the scoring models are built, and each one produces two finished report editions under your brand. If you already have a question set you love and enjoy formatting reports, a survey tool is cheaper. If you want to send a link on Monday and open a conversation on Thursday, this is built for that.
- Who is responsible for my clients' data?
- You are. You decide what to collect and why, which makes you the data controller under UK GDPR; we are your processor and act on your instructions. We do not sell client data, do not use it to train models, and do not market to your clients. The privacy notice sets out exactly what is stored and for how long.
- What happens to my data if I cancel?
- It stays available for as long as your account is open, so export anything you want to keep before you close it. Close the account and we remove your data within 30 days, other than billing records we are required to keep for tax. We do not hold your data hostage to keep you subscribed.
- Do I need to be technical?
- No. Setting up means adding your name, your consultancy and your logo, which takes about two minutes. After that you copy a link and send it. There is a demo client already in your account so you can click through a finished report before you put a real client anywhere near it.
- I am a Leap into Consulting academy member. Is it included?
- Yes. Leap into Consulting academy members get full access included in their membership. Your membership comes with an activation code - enter it on the billing page and access is unlocked, with no card and no charge. If you are a member and do not have the code to hand, ask the academy for it.
Still deciding?
The trial is 14 days with up to three clients. Card details are taken when you start, and nothing is charged unless you are still with us on day 15. The quickest way to judge it is to send yourself a link and read what comes back.
